This was a collection of firsts; first time ever featuring such feminine cuts and sexy as hell styles a little different from anything we have created previously. A homage to summer and 70s-90s icons such as Siouxsie Sioux, Jimi & YSL, there is however, our signature dominant contrasts; studded suede, floral opaque glitter lace, animal print satin and metallic cosmic motifs. This collection also features bold hand-printed dresses and pastel satin staples that were specifically made to pair with vintage denim, grunge 90’s-esque faux suede to style back with a lace dress or vintage…. All round, Boys Don’t Cry is just really versatile, which is the only thing we need this summer.
FELL to EARTH
Shot in a space-like hand built home on the top of the northern beaches, Sydney, this collection was inspired by (and a homage) to the late Bowie and his 1976 film, The Man Who Fell to Earth. Our FW collection is all about the luxury, the glitter and feeling like you’re from another universe but not wanting to conform to the strange reality of human life. The ethereal 70s babe, Kelsey and other-worldly, Jeet, helped bring this shoot to life and we couldn’t be more over the planet about it. Shot on film, digital and polaroid by the one and only, Brett Rutkowski.
Our winter collections seem to take on the uniqueness of combining velvet, suede, embroidery, lace and all things delicate and this has got to be my favourite to date and so representative of LENNI and where we are headed…
